


There are many complicated forms of arts and crafts in the world, but crocheting isn’t one of them. The skill levels involved can range from completing easy projects over a weekend to creating advanced intricate artworks one piece at a time. One hook and one basic stitch already allows you to produce an abundance of projects, and learning that one basic stitch is incredibly easy.
Class 1
- Introduction. Daniela shares her passion for crocheting and what it can be used to create.
- Materials and equipment. Students are introduced to the materials and equipment they will use throughout the course.
- Practice. They learn basic chain and single crochet stitches on a practice cord, and how to read a crochet pattern.
- Create. Students move onto a yarn colour of their choice and make a bow hair tie.
Class 2
- Review. The basic chain and single crochet stitches are reviewed.
- Practice. Students learn to do the magic ring and increasing on a practice cord to crochet in rounds.
- Create. They move onto a yarn colour of their choice and make a coaster.
Class 3
- Sketch. Students plan the colour combination for their crochet beads necklace on paper.
- Review. The magic ring and increasing are reviewed.
- Practice. Students learn to decrease on a practice cord to form a ball.
- Create. They move onto yarn and begin to crochet beads according to their planned colours.
Class 4
- Create. Students continue to work on the crochet beads.
- Finalize. Beads are threaded onto a ribbon to form a necklace.
